Proven Success

Connect English TOEFL Preparation course focuses on building skills and strategy for students to pass the TOEFL exam and progress to a four-year or other post-secondary institution. Students in this class will receive strategy and skills that have been proven successful in achieving the high scores necessary for admission to university-level programs. Additionally, they will receive focused, guided practice in the four primary skills required on the TOEFL exam: reading, listening, speaking and writing.

Analyze and Understand

The goal for TOEFL Preparation is for students to build upon their strong foundation of English and apply their existing English skills to their TOEFL goals. The students learn to analyze academic reading passages and understand technical vocabulary. They listen and respond to university-type conversations and lectures. They spend time and energy to develop clear and organized spoken responses. They examine and practice effective means of writing essays and responses. The goal for the TOEFL Max course is that by the end of one complete course session, students will be comfortable with all aspects of the exam, and even be able to use elements of language style in the productive portions of the exam.

Regular assessment and feedback assure that students stay aware of their shortcomings and their growth in individual areas of TOEFL exam preparation.

The Connect English TOEFL MAX is the 18-hour-per-week course that is designed for students whose goals include college and university programs, career advancement, or even improvement in their ability to analyze the English language.
